My kids, Aiko and Shin, have always loved cats. Unfortunately, our family has never had cats. In Japan, we encounter a lot of strays, and the kids would always like to play with them and try to feed them. On our trip back to Canada, we wanted to find out more about how to help homeless cats, so we visited our local humane society, the BC SPCA (British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). This is what we learned.

What is a truly Canadian experience? When we have visitors to Vancouver, located in Super, Natural, British Columbia, we usually take them to spots like Stanley Park, up to Grouse Mountain, or maybe to Whistler. This highlights some of the nature that can be found, but I think people who really want to experience the outdoors tend to avoid these places, as they are a bit touristy and busy.
